MARSHFIELD YMCA HOSTS ANNUAL HEALTHY KIDS DAY
The Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 26, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm located at the YMCA-Marshfield Center, 410 West McMillan Street, Marshfield. This free, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities designed to inspire kids, raise awareness about health and encourage families to get active.
Sponsored nationally by Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to prepare the Marshfield area and surrounding community families for a safe, active and fun-filled season. Some featured activities include Peanut’s Family Pickleball, Marcie’s Tae Kwon Do Demo, Snoopy’s Dance Party, Franklin’s Splash Bash, and Linus’ Mindfulness Moment.
“It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Caitlin Gregorich, YMCA School Age Program Director. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great activities the Y has to offer.”
The Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day will also welcome the following local community resource partners who will be in attendance at the event - the Dental Clinic of Marshfield, the Everett Roehl Public Library, the Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department, The Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union, the Marshfield Police Department, Wildwood Park & Zoo, and Wood County Head Start.
