MARSHFIELD CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM YMCA SWIMMER SET FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Marshfield YMCA Tigersharks Swim Team member, Ireland Moran, will be representing the Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA at the upcoming YMCA National Short Course Swimming Championships. The meet will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC, March 31 – April 4, 2025. The 16 year-old will be competing in the 100 meter backstroke event, having qualified at the 2025 YMCA Sectional Championships in Weston, WI with a time of 59.45.

YMCA Tigersharks Swim Team Head Coach Kaeley Dunteman-Stiefvater states, “I haven’t worked with Ireland for very long, but since day one, I’ve been impressed by her work ethic, leadership, and drive. I’m thankful to have been a part of her journey.” Moran commented, “It’s been a long time coming, and I’m thankful for the support from my coaches, teammates, doctors, and parents. I wouldn’t be here without them.” The entire YMCA family looks forward to celebrating her achievements, as she has been a member of the Marshfield Area YMCA since 2018, and also serves on the aquatic staff as a lifeguard and swim instructor.
